Due to the promotion of our current SENCO to Headship, the governing board are seeking to appoint a SENCO to join our happy, welcoming Church school where all are encouraged to let their light shine by ‘Living and learning together in the light of God.’ Our small inclusive school has SEND levels above the national and local average. This is a standalone SENCO role and would be suitable for an experienced SENCO, SEND consultant or as a secondment from another setting. The ideal candidate will:

· Have experience of working as a SENCO, ideally with a SEND Qualification

· Understand the SEND processes/ paperwork and funding for Leeds

· Have a calm and nurturing attitude

· Be able to share information clearly and have professional communication with class teachers and teaching support staff.

· Have experience of leading SEND related CPD in school

· Have experience of working closely with parents and carers

· Be able to support the Christian ethos of our school In turn, we can offer

 8.35am until 3.20pm with 30 minutes own lunch and 30 minutes lunch time supervision Paid

This post will be to directly support learning under the guidance and support of the class teacher/ SENDCo

The ideal candidate will:

·         Have experience of working in a similar position in schools, ideally with children working at Early Years Foundation Stage level

·         Be prepared to carry out intimate care as required

·         Be willing to work directly with children with special educational needs including intimate care as required

·         Have a calm and nurturing attitude

·         Be able to facilitate children's learning in both 1:1 and small groups

·         Be able to share information and have professional communication with the class teacher.

·         Be able to support the Christian ethos of our school
